SUMMARY OF WATCHES AND WARNINGS IN EFFECT: There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect. DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 400 PM CDT (2100 UTC), the remnants of Alberto were located near latitude 22.3 North, longitude 102.0 West. The remnants are moving toward the west near 24 mph (39 km/h), and this motion is expected to continue through tonight. Maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph (45 km/h) with higher gusts. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches). RAINFALL: Rainfall associated with Alberto will continue to diminish across southern Texas tonight, with additional rainfall totals generally 1 inch or less. Heavy rainfall will continue to impact northeast Mexico today, with rainfall totals of 5 to 10 inches expected. Maximum rainfall totals around 20 inches are possible across the higher terrain of the Mexican states of Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, and Tamaulipas.
